Templating
After you have selected your stone material, the first step in fabrication is to create a pattern on which to base the slab cutout. Our goal is to work with you to minimize the amount of time between templating and installation of your countertop.

A countertop is ready for template when:
  • The existing countertop is removed
  • The cabinets are:
    • Secured to the wall
    • Level
    • Flat
    • Square
  • Fillers between cabinets are in place
  • The sink is on-site
  • Appliances are on-site:
    • Stove or cooktop
    • Refrigerator
    • Dishwasher
  • The person creating the template also needs to know:
    • If any cabinets will sit on top of the countertop
    • If an appliance garage will be installed
    • If the sink is a farm or apron sink (must be set 1/8" below the cabinet deck by the cabinet installer)
